June 11, 2021 Update

Jun. 11, 2021

Hello NESA families,

I hope you all had a chance to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend.

We received an update from Softball Manitoba about the 2021 season. All Softball Manitoba Competition and Development is not permitted until further notice. Should restrictions allow, the plan is to use the first two weeks of July for practices and then start games the third week of July. The season would run into August with the possibility of Provincials in September. This isn't the 2021 season we all planned for but we look forward to the possibility of still playing this year.

A reminder about our COVID-19 specific Refund Policy,

  • If the 2021 season is cancelled prior to the season starting, a full refund will be granted to all players.
  • If the 2021 season is cancelled midway through the season, a refund will be granted of fees paid to NESA less costs already incurred by NESA. These may include Softball Manitoba fees, City Field fees, Umpire fees, Sanitizing items, Community Club fee and Admin fees.

Stay safe and do you part, vaccinate, so we can all get back to doing the things we love.

Daphne Wiebe, NESA President
